Do you use the Honolulu 311 app?

Do you know of a street sign that needs replacing, pot hole that needs repair, illegal dumping in your neighborhood?  Be proactive, and report these conditions using the handy “Honolulu 311” app available from i-tunes & android marketplace.

“CitySourced Honolulu is a real time mobile civic engagement platform. CitySourced Honolulu provides a free, simple, and intuitive platform empowering people to report potholes, broken streetlights, cracked sidewalks, illegally dumping, vandalized/broken signs and more via your smartphone. A picture tells a thousand words and CitySourced Honolulu makes it snap”

As a test, we are submitting a report tonight for a “Bike Route” sign at 113 Kuulei Rd. in Kailua.  This (pictured) sign has been painted for a LONG time, and a report was submitted on 10/5/2012 at 6:46 pm. We’ll let you know the progress on the sign replacement.

We have one other “fix it” item to submit tonight, and it’s a sprinkler on the island across from Kalapawai Market.  Every morning at 6:00 am the sprinkler comes on and waters the asphalt in Kailua Rd.  Again, we’ll update you on the progress!
