Cocktails & LIVE Music in Kailua-3 venues TODAY!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Looking for some late afternoon/early evening fun?  Check out all that’s going on in Kailua starting today at 4:00 pm….LIVE MUSIC at 3 different places!   Sorry i didn’t get this posted earlier, but been kinda busy!

6:00 to 8:00  Morning Brew  on Wed/Thurs (7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Friday & Saturday)  Start off with some soothing,”celtic slack-key” guitar work by Michael Tanenbaum. (Michael’s website says 4 pm to 6 pm Nov. 21st & 28th) If you aren’t familiar with Michael, you will not be disappointed!  Here a blurb from his bio:  Michael Tanenbaum is a Celtic inspired instrumental guitarist based in Honolulu, Hawaii. His music is inspired by the power of the land, light and ocean waters of the islands. Originally from Canada, he found a new sound in the island’s Hawaiian Slack Key guitar music that resonated within him and was inspired to re-explore the guitar after 25 years at the piano. In time, he incorporated his northern Celtic music roots with the tranquility and beauty of his new home in a fusion of what he now calls locally, “Celtic Slack Key”.  Not sure if they have any pau hana specials, but Michael Tanenbaum is special, so go check him out. Caffeine, beer, & wine & food available.  Wed & Thurs $3 pilsner irquell, Steak Skewews & Glass of Wind foe $13.
4:00 pm to 6:00 Whole Foods Kailua  Really, live music at Whole Foods?  Let’s get this straight..free live music from  , $3 “beer of the day”, and $5 for a slice of pepperoni or cheese pizza and a “beer of the day?” (Beer and pizza special from 4:00 pm to 6 pm) Have you seen their selections of tasty beers on tap?  We’re talking Skulpin IPA, Sapporo, Kona, beers you don’t find on tap anywhere else in Kailua.  NOTE: the beer selection changes weekly, but they always have 2 quality local brews plus 4 other microbrews!  They also feature a rotating selection of quality wines by the glass, as well as a few select bottled beers.  Band performs inside near the bar area, but is easily heard on Kailua Road side patio.
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm On the patio at The Grove  Nothing better than listening to live music while sitting outside in Hawaii.  Problem with Kailua is, that aside from Bob’s Sports Bar, The Grove is the only option for outside live music.
The new owners have apparently smoothed things over with the residents at Meridian East, and respectfully, The Grove ends the live music at 8:30 pm.  NOTE SHADY HOUR SPECIAL: 3 pm to 7 pm $3 Domestic, $4 Import & Special Domestics, $5  TONIGHT check out Erin Smith, lead singer of The Throwdowns.  Her band performed live on the televised Na Hokus this year, we have been nominated 3 times, performed at Waikiki Shell, Blaisedell Arena and all the other larger venues in Honolulu. I often perform with Paula Fuga and Anuhea, some of the other acts you have featured.
